CEO of Tarshid, Mr. Waled Al Ghreri, has announced that the company has completed comprehensive field surveys and technical studies on the buildings and facilities within the scope of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development buildings retrofitting project. As a result, the company emphasizes the significance of increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption in the affiliated buildings and facilities. Tarshid has identified 7 main standards for increasing energy efficiency, encompassing control, air conditioning, and lighting systems, as well as the installation of control systems for hidden and integrated air conditioning units. The company also aims to retrofit the lighting systems by replacing traditional lighting with energy-saving LED systems, resulting in a higher performance work environment.
The project address an annual electricity consumption reduction from 5 million kilowatt hours to around 3 million kilowatt hours, representing a targeted reduction rate of approximately 23%. Furthermore, the project's expected savings equate to avoiding the consumption of over 2,000 barrels of oil equivalent and preventing around 600 metric tons of harmful carbon emissions. This environmentally impactful achievement is equivalent to planting over 11,000 seedlings annually.
Aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, Tarshid, the National Energy Services Company, is committed to contributing to the Kingdom's strategic sustainability goals by significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.
