The National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) and King Fahd Medical City launched the installation solar panels and their systems on the buildings and facilities rooftops of King Fahd Medical City in Riyadh. Tarshid aims to increase energy efficiency and reduce consumption through solar energy by generating energy for self-consumption in all buildings and facilities according to the best global standards.
Waled bin Abdullah Al-Ghreri, Board Member and CEO of Tarshid, said that following comprehensive technical assessments and energy audits, Tarshid has identified a clear opportunity to increase energy efficiency at King Fahd Medical City, with 2,000 kW solar panel installation, producing 3.4 million kWh annually, demonstrates our commitment to providing clean, renewable energy solutions for the Kingdom.
The expected energy savings from the project amount to 3.4 million kWh annually, equivalent to the conservation of more than 5,000 barrels of equivalent oil and the avoidance of approximately 2,000 metric tons of harmful carbon emissions, which is equivalent to the environmental impact of planting more than 33,000 tree seedlings annually. Tarshid, through its mission, is committed to serving the Kingdom's strategic sustainability goals, in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to achieve significant energy savings and reduce carbon emissions.
